Cemeteries

The Town of Elrose looks after the Elrose Cemetery.   The R.M. of Monet maintains three cemeteries, the Hughton-Monet Cemetery, south of Hughton, Greenan and Forgan. Burial plots are available at all of the cemeteries.

Elrose Cemetery

This is the largest cemetery in the R.M. It is located 1 KM south of Elrose on Highway 4.
A map and burial-site records from 1913 are kept at the Elrose Town Office.

Plots & Rates
Each plot/grave can consist of either two urns or one casket – $600.00

Please contact the Town of Elrose Office to purchase or arrange a burial. The Town will provide the opening and closing of cremation grave sites at a cost of $250.00.

Hughton-Monet Cemetery

This cemetery is located 3.5km south of the hamlet of Hughton.

Forgan Cemetery

This cemetery is located on Highway 44 on the West side of the hamlet of Forgan.

Greenan Cemetery

First burial in 1930. This cemetery is located on a hilltop 1 KM Southeast of the hamlet of Greenen.
